Below is a pdf of some type face examples, an Old Style, Transitional, and a Modern. You are to redraw each of the characters at the top of the page. DO NOT TRACE. Remove a piece of paper from your sketch book (an unused one) draw your type grid, use a ruler and pencil to start. Once you have the character drawn proportional correct ink it with a sharpy. Use the ruler and make sure the lines are clean and sharp. Do not erase pencil work.

First Type Assiganmnt
1. Create 3 of your own :P :D <3 (and find out what they are called).
2. Type animals. Create images of anything you want using only Type Faces. You may use as many or as few as you like. The only rule is you can NOT distort them. No SQUISHING, No SQUASHING, No PINCHING, No TWISTING, No ETC.
You CAN, rotate, flip, or change the size all you want. So Keep your finger on the 'shift' key when you mess with them.
Here is a link to some examples.
